Who Pitt Cooking Are

Pitt Cooking Installation, Built Into Your Benchtop

Every Pitt Cooking unit is made in De Meern, in the Netherlands. Rather than dropping one large cooktop into a single rectangular cutout like a standard appliance, each Pitt Cooking burner or induction zone is individually integrated into the benchtop, sitting proud of the surface as its own unit for a clean, seamless look.

  • Made in the Netherlands, distributed in Australia by Haus Group
  • Available in gas, induction, or a combination of both
  • 1 to 6 burner or induction zone configurations
  • 5 year total warranty, official gas appliance certification

We're one of the few Melbourne installers experienced with Pitt Cooking's individually integrated burners, installing each unit once your benchtop has been cut at the factory to the Pitt Cooking template.

Why Pitt Cooking

More Room, Less Cleaning

More Space Between Burners

A minimum of 28cm between burners, around 8cm more than a standard cooktop, so large pots and pans actually fit side by side.

Individually Integrated Burners

Each burner sits directly in the benchtop as its own unit, rather than one large cooktop with a trim ring around the whole thing, for a cleaner, more custom look.

Combined Wok and Simmer Burner

One burner, one knob, two functions. Full wok power when you need it, simmer control when you don't.

How Many Burners / Zones?
1 Burner, Gas Models

A single burner or zone is a popular add-on next to an existing cooktop, or for a butler's pantry or outdoor kitchen.

Pitt Cooking makes both, and the two can even be combined in the one benchtop.

  • Open flame cooking with instant, visible heat control
  • Combined wok and simmer burner on select models
  • Meets official gas appliance certification standards

Induction Zones

  • Precise, fast heat with instant temperature response
  • More energy efficient than gas or standard electric
  • No open flame, cooler surface around each zone
  • Same individually integrated benchtop design as gas

Installation Requirements

Benchtop Cutting, Done Right

Because Pitt Cooking integrates directly into the benchtop rather than dropping into a standard cutout, every installation needs a precise cut made on specialised machinery at the benchtop factory. This is factory-only work, it can't be cut on site or by hand, and it has to be done before the benchtop is delivered.

We don't measure or cut your benchtop ourselves. That's done at the fabricator's factory using Pitt Cooking's own official templates, which is why the cut is precise and consistent every time.

Addison Appliances handles the installation: once your benchtop arrives with the factory cutout already in place, we fit and install your Pitt Cooking units so they're ready to use.

Frequently Asked questions

Whispair uses specialised flexible ducting, which can be routed more easily around obstacles like beams and joists compared to the solid ducting used by some other brands. This can make installation more adaptable to your home’s layout.

Whispair rangehoods can be fitted with an on-board motor, an in-line remote motor, or an off-board remote (external) motor, giving you flexibility depending on your noise preferences and where you’d like the motor located.

Generally, moving the motor further from the kitchen reduces noise at the cooktop. An off-board remote motor, installed externally, will typically run quieter in the kitchen than an on-board motor, with in-line remote sitting in between.

Whispair’s grease baffles are dishwasher-safe, so they can simply be removed and cleaned in your dishwasher for easy, regular maintenance.

Whispair offers a range of sizing options to suit different kitchen layouts and cooktop widths. We can help you choose the right size based on your cooktop and cabinetry during a consultation.

Yes, Whispair rangehoods are made in Australia, with some components sourced from Germany.

Yes. Because the ducting is flexible, it can generally be adjusted on-site to work around structural beams or tight spaces, which can simplify installation compared to rigid ducting systems.

Most Whispair installations can be completed in a single visit, though timing depends on your chosen motor placement and any ducting requirements specific to your home. We’ll confirm this when we assess your job.

Yes, professional installation ensures the ducting is properly routed and the motor option you’ve chosen is correctly fitted and positioned for optimal performance and noise levels.

Contact Addison Appliances with details of your kitchen and preferred motor placement, and we’ll provide a tailored quote for your Whispair rangehood installation.
